Elizabeth Miller - Snowshoeing Holiday

November 2018

Overview

Tucked away in a little known area of France is the aptly named Undiscovered Mountains Holiday. On the edge of the Ecrins national park, with only one small ski resort , this is a paradise for those on foot. But is not just the snowshoeing that makes this such a lovely holiday it is also the accommodation in Grange des Ecrin, a 14th century farmhouse : wood burning stove, aperitifs in the comfy lounge, cosy bedrooms under the eaves , Jacuzzi for limbs tired after a day in the mountains, and attentive hosts Jean and Meg. The evening meal, served as a group at a large dining table, is a delicious 4 course fusion of French and Taiwanese food. Then plenty of time for board games or reading before a comfortable night’s sleep. A perfect weeks holiday!
