Chaillol Ski Village Resort in the Champsaur Valley

Sunny Chaillol is situated at 1600m of altitude and is at the entrance to the Ecrins National Park. It’s south facing so has lots of sun - perfect for those cold winter days!

You ski with a superb view over the Champsaur Valley on pretty runs meandering through woods. The actual ski area stretches from 1450m, (where there are several nursery runs) and goes up to 1990m. From here there is a beautiful red run that goes all the way back down to the village. Have a look at the Chaillol Ski Piste Map.

The snow is well managed and all the pistes are covered by snow canons.

Chaillol is a very friendly and safe ski village, everyone will know who you are before you go home making it perfect for families with young children.

There is a creche for babies and non-skiing children as well as a 'Jardin des Neiges' on the piste for young skiers!

The ski school is very good with bilingual instructors. It's a small village with a hotel restaurant, grocery store, creperie, bar, newsagents and a couple of sports shops.

Just nearby is the village of St Michel de Chaillol – famous for its local jams and conserves. Relax in the evening and watch the ski instructors torch-lit descents, drink mulled wine with the locals and take part in a range of entertainment during the school holidays.

We can organise a ski or snowboarding holiday in Chaillol and if you want to try some of the other activities we have to offer we can also tailor make a holiday to your needs.
