Overview
Delightful week (March 2023) in the outdoors in the beautiful southern Alps, Champsaur Valley, showshoeing and hiking. Everything was excellent. The guides were friendly, informative, patient, helpful, and entertaining. The hikes were varied, with choices for different exertional levels, and all had spectacular scenery. Especially memorable were the wildlife sightings. The accommodations -- a cozy, stone farmhouse in a small town with beautiful views -- had just the right mixture of modern comfort and old world charm. The food was delicious, featured locally sourced items, and was very pleasingly served.
