The introduction to ski touring course was excellent and fully met our expectations. As new comers to ski touring it gave us a sound grounding in the necessary equipment, techniques and mountain craft. It was also a great introduction to the Ecrins National Park which is now a firm favourite. Our planning was smoothly supported by Sally and Lauren, travel to Gap by train was a joy and we were soon whisked off to our auberge set in a fabulous mountainous valley.
Overall, this was a good flagship for Undiscovered Alps: a well-conceived and planned course, effectively administered and brilliantly executed despite the challenges of a high avalanche risk, with a combination of thorough instruction, grand situations and with Sally and Bernard's infectious enthusiasm and energy.
