Wanted to say that once again you, Bernard , Fabrice and of course Karen organised another superb trip. It had everything-fabulous food, walking, exquisite views, good company and a wonderful gîte in which to stay.
I learnt loads in terms of what to forage (and what not!) and about the people who live and have lived in the area.
Jean and Meg were so welcoming and hospitable, nothing was too much. The gîte, I thought was tastefully decorated with a hint of quirky and was very comfortable. The bar was especially was a fun and companionable touch. As for the food …. Never felt hungry as every night was a gourmet taster menu of the local area’s produce with Meg’s own Taiwanese twist. Jean too loves his wine and cheese and was so happy to share his cave and knowledge with us.
Thank goodness for the walking otherwise I would have been like a barrel.
Can’t wait for January to see you all again for snowshoeing and also for next October for another gourmet walking holiday.
