A Cultural Discovery of the Alps to Provence

There is much more to the Southern French Alps and Provence than its awe inspiring mountains and famous lavender fields. These two areas also have a long history, a very traditional way-of-life and a strong culture, not to mention many culinary specialities that you won’t find anywhere else. 

With this itinerary, we aim at taking you to places that are both very well preserved and off the beaten track. In one word: undiscovered! You will learn about shepherding, how to make cheese and how a traditional windmill works, you will get familiar with the local fauna and flora, you will meet many locals who will tell you about their daily life – this trip is a real immersion in the culture of this part of France.

Of course we don’t forget one of the major aspects of French culture: its gastronomy. Our choice of restaurants reflects the diversity of what people traditionally eat in these areas, from the hearty mountain food to the more Mediterranean, olive oil rich delicacies of Provence.
