Orcieres Downhill Biking Resort:

Among the resorts of the Southern French Alps, Orcières has established its own style and reputation with an impressive freeride potential thanks to multiple enduro itineraries, its bike park and many footbridges.

The downhill slopes are tried and tested classics, with fast, rolling sections, footbridges of all shapes and sizes, and the flow on some of the slopes means you can really let off steam. However, the full potential of the area is revealed on the enduro itineraries that plunge you into the meanders of the Champsaur massif, where you'll find  natural single tracks, wild corners, a thousand and one bends and breathtaking panoramas.

Holiday Highlights:

  • Downhill mountain biking on the edge of the Ecrins National Park
  • Fully qualified and experienced local guides to help you maximise your downhill biking potential
  • Choice of accommodation options for all tastes
  • Flexible duration and possibility to combine with other holidays
  • Stunning panoramic mountain views from wherever you are!

Who Will Love this Trip?

Bikers looking for a short break of intensive downhill biking adrenalin will love this trip. Experience of mountain biking on a range of off-road terrains is essential to enjoy this downhill biking weekend. However there are groups for all levels so no specific technical downhill biking experience is required.

Although you will be using lifts to get to the top of the mountain, do not underestimate the physical challenge of downhill biking. A good level of all round fitness is important.

This trip is also open to young mountain bike enthusiasts but children from 8 - 12 will bike in separate groups to teenagers and adults.

If you are a mixed group with some bikers and some non-bikers it is possible to mix and match this trip with other holidays such as our learn to fly paragliding course or summer multi activity holiday, which are both based in the same area so you can all stay in the same accommodation but do different holidays. If this is your case, please contact us for a tailor made quote.
