Summer in the Alps is one of our favourite times of year! There are so many activities and adventures to do, you'll be spoilt for choice! Walk in to a high mountain refuge 'en famille' and explore the Ecrins National Park, take your fiancée paragliding for some spectacular views, challenge your head for heights on one of the biggest via ferratas in the Southern Alps, slide down a natural toboggan and plunge into deep pools of clear water canyoning, give someone an adrenalin rush to remember by sending them down the longest and fastest Tyrolean zip wire in Europe... go mountain biking, white water rafting, rock climbing, kayaking..... the choice is yours!
This holiday is available from April to September and whilst the range of activities may change during the different seasons, there is enough choice for an action packed Spring half term for families as well as the summer holidays. For outdoor lovers not tied to school holidays there is a huge amount to discover both inside and outside of the summer season! If you are looking for this sort of holiday specifically in the Autumn or for October half term, then please have a look at our Autumn Multi Activity holiday in the Alps.

The nearest major city is Gap which is just south of Grenoble and north of Marseilles. Gap has a train station which links to the major TGVs such as Aix-en-Provence and Lyon and also has a night train directly from Paris. The nearest airports are Marseilles, Grenoble or Lyon but Nice, Turin and Geneva are also drivable distance.
We highly recommend you self drive rather than let us drive you to and from the activities. The area has so much to offer and for you to explore in your free time and public transport is limited.
However, if you are a group with a full itinerary and would like a quote for a transport included holiday, please just let us know when you make your enquiry.
