Les Gondoins is a rustic farmhouse property with chickens and rabbits and a few cats! It is situated in the heart of the valley of Champoléon and is a truly authentic alpine style valley refuge!
There is a large open plan dining area with big open fire where Huguette serves breakfast and dinner. She is a remarkable chef and her specialities are tourtons (the local Champsaurian dish).
There are the classic large style alpine dormitories with platform bunk beds as well as a number of smaller dormitories sleeping 2 or 4 people.
The bedding is sheets and blankets and it is recommended you bring a sleeping bag liner as the sheets are not washed after every guest. Sanitary facilities are communal.
For self caterers, there is a basic kitchenette but the food is so good most people succumb!
Les Gondoins is on the Tour du Vieux Chaillol circuit and is a basic but welcome place to stay after a big day in the mountains.

It is possible to stay there on a self catering basis and there is a basic kitchenette available. However the food is very good and local and a half board deal is highly recommended.
