Just outside of Gap, the lovely "capital city of the Southern French Alps", this beautiful 3 star hotel offers a total of 19 rooms and suites, all decorated in a modern and zen atmosphere. The hotel is an old local institution and has been completely renovated in 2014, making it one of the nicest places to stay in Gap.
The Olivades Hotel is located a few minutes away only from the city centre of Gap, a city which in the summer buzzes with animations and boasts a very pleasant and all-pedestrian centre. But it is also located at the foot of the awe inspiring mountain of Charance, where the local "Gapençais" love to go for a Saturday morning hike or bike ride on one of the many paths.
The private gardens in front of the hotel provide a Château-like ambiance, with its beautiful lawns, flower beds and modern summer lounge areas.
Behind the building, a large swimming pool, a playground for children, a pétanque pitch for adults and a private parking complete the picture. The whole property is a delightfully peaceful corner, only minutes away from the city centre on one side, and from a wide range of alpine summer and winter activities on the other. The Restaurant les Olivades, located in the same building, is a well known place in the city of Gap and has a great reputation for delicious food and quality of service. Prices vary from 15€ (kids menu) to 56€ for the famous, 7-course, gastronomic "Menu à deux". If you're interested in discovering some of the best local specialities, you can also try the delicious "Marché du Jour" menu (ranging from 33 to 42€).
