All About Stand Up Paddle:
Stand up paddle originated in Hawaii as an offshoot of surfing. It is now one of the fastest growing water sports in the world. The paddler stands upright in the middle of a very buoyant surfboard between 9 - 12ft long, using a long single long paddle to move and steer the board, similar to a canoe. It enables surfers to paddle long distances without fatigue.
You can find Stand Up Paddle at the beach, on lakes and on rivers!
It is easy to learn and accessible to anyone over 7 years old. The board is very stable and much easier than classic surfing, it is similar to standing on a very large windsurfing board. Soak up the rays and have fun racing your friends to the next beach. Or wind down at the end of a busy day with a chilled out evening paddle.
