The Gite d'Etape Les Paris is located at the head of the Valgaudemar valley in a small hamlet and is the usual starting point for our highly popular Tour du Vieux Chaillol long distance walking route. It is also a great stop over for mountain bikers or walkers doing a tour of the Champsaur and Valgaudemar valleys.
It is a refuge or youth hostel style accommodation in a traditional stone farmhouse. There are dormitories sleeping from 2 to 10 people and shared sanitary facilities. Sheets, pillows and covers are included. However, it is recommended that you bring a sleeping bag liner to sleep in as the sheets are not washed after every guest.
The communal area is in a nicely renovated vaulted room with open fire and tables and chairs. Breakfast and dinner are served here.
It is possible to be self catering as well and there is a fully equipped kitchen with crockery and utensil.
It is basic but functional with everything you need for a comfortable night's refuge!

However, the homemade food cooked by the owner Denis is very good and highly recommended!

This accommodation operates a no smoking policy.
Check in is after 16H00, however if you get there earlier at the end of your hiking day, you can simply relax in the garden and enjoy the wonderful views over the Valgaudemar Valley, nicknamed the Little Himalayas!

It is possible to leave your car near the Gite Les Paris if you are going off into the mountains or if this accommodation is where you start your Tour du Vieux Chaillol.
