The Borieta Farmhouse is a refurbished 18th century farmhouse that has great views over Gap and its valley.
The building has been refurbished by its owner Jean-Jacques over the years and turned into a beautiful alpine style farmhouse consisting of 3 separate apartments, all boasting a beautiful and cosy interior made of stones and wood.
The entrance to the three apartments is shared on the ground floor. One is called the Fenata, the second one is called the Civada, and the third one (both the largest and newest) is called Le Béal. All names come from the local patois language used to describe the different sections of a farmhouse. The three apartments offer large and luminous living areas with a big dining table, a lounge corner, and a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, oven, dishwasher and all the modern appliances.
The bedrooms are upstairs. The Fenata has 2 bedrooms (one double and one triple) and offers a capacity of 5, with one bathroom and toilet. The Civada is a bit bigger and has 3 bedrooms (one double, one twin and one triple) and a capacity of 7 people, with one bathroom and 2 toilets. As for the Le Béal, it can comfortably house up until 8 people and has 2 bathrooms, one on the main floor and one on the second floor.
All apartments offer beautiful views over the surrounding mountains, and they all have a private terrace for convivial summer evenings. In the garden around the house, you'll find a wooded area with a small stream and a sand beach for the children, nice gardens with many flowers and even a small area to play pétanque! Last but not least, you can book your slot for an hour in the beautiful spa (15€ per hour). This accommodation has it all!
The Borieta Farmhouse and its three apartments are a great location for a multi activity holiday (both summer and winter), as it is very centrally located. You are just 5 minutes away from Gap, 10 to 15 minutes away from the awe inspiring Champsaur Valley, and just 20 minutes away from the Serre-Ponçon Lake, the largest artificial lake in Europe! Highly recommended!

Le Béal is the largest apartment in the Borieta Farmhouse. Jean-Jacques, the owner of the Farmhouse, finalised the renovation works in the spring of 2018. Luminous and cosy, this brand new apartment boasts 3 bedrooms (1 double + 2 triples), a beautiful and fully equipped kitchen, and a living room section with great views over the surrounding hills and mountains. The three apartments (Civada, Fenata and Beal) are part of a large self catering farmhouse.
You will find a range of restaurants, shops, bars and supermarkets in the neighboring city of Gap, only 5 minutes away!
There are also several market days in Gap: Saturday morning (Rue Carnot), Wednesday morning (Place de la République) and an organic market on Friday afternoon (Avenue Jean Jaurès).

Check in at the Borieta Farmhouse is between 16H00 and 19H00 on Saturdays. You will need to contact the owner on the day you travel to agree on a meeting time. If you are arriving outside of these times, please contact us so we can arrange an alternative check in. You will be asked for a security deposit of 200€ (only payable in cash)
Check out is before 10H30 on the day of your departure and the owner will visit the property with you to check everything is in order and return your security deposit. Please note that all self catering accommodations are rented on the basis that you will leave them in a tidy state at the end of your stay. This means: emptying bins, stripping beds, emptying dishwasher and putting all crockery away and generally leaving the place in an orderly state. If the accommodation is not left in an acceptable state, the owner reserves the right to deduct a sum from your deposit.
Bedding and towels are included at the Borieta Farmhouse. Smoking and pets are not allowed.
The access to the spa and sauna is restricted and you have to book a slot on the calendar. One hour in the spa costs 15€ and one hour in the sauna costs 10€.
