Located in the hamlet of Chantaussel, the "Chantô" B&B is a typical farmhouse of the region which has been renovated into a welcoming B&B.
Gil and Laurence are originally from Lyon but they fell in love with the Champsaur area after much holiday time spent on the many hiking paths of the valley. They will be able to recommend many nice walks including some straight from the house. Their B&B has 5 rooms on the second floor (2 ensuite doubles with 160cm beds, 2 doubles with 140cms beds and 1 twin), all with beautiful views over the surrounding mountains. There is a nice lounge area with comfortable chairs in a large veranda and a terrace for the summer.
On the first floor, you'll find a spacious traditional vaulted room with a large dining table and a lounge area, as well as the kitchen where Gil and Laurence cook breakfast and dinner (optional) with mainly local products.
Chantaussel is a small and quiet hamlet where the only noises you'll hear are the cowbells and the birds singing. It is located 4 kms away from Saint-Julien, where you'll be able to dine in one of the best restaurants in the area ("Les Chenets"), and 6 kms away from the medieval town of Saint-Bonnet, a place where you'll find several bars, restaurants and supermarkets.
