South facing and sunny, this is a lovely cosy chalet for two overlooking the old village of Jarjayes, one of the villages on the itinerary of perched villages!
The chalet has been recently refurbished and is next to the owner's property. It is accessible by a stone staircase.
The chalet consists of a small open plan living room with kitchenette (equipped with gas cooker and hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine), a dining table and chairs and a sofa which can also convert to a sofa bed. There are a range of books and literature on the shelves, mainly in French and a TV.
This room has a large double French window which opens out onto a south facing balcony with beautiful views.
There is a double bedroom and modern bathroom with a large multi jet shower, wash basin and toilet.
In summer there are a range of activities including canyoning, horse riding, mountain biking nearby and the wonderful Serre-Ponçon Lake is just 20 mins away for water sports. There are walks straight from the door including up to a historical ruin - the "Trois Châteaux" of Jarjayes.
In winter the chalet is 30 - 40 minutes from a number of different ski villages and other winter activities are accessible.
It is the perfect getaway for a couple searching for peace and quiet, in a pretty French village with a range of activities to do!

This is a self catering chalet. The nearest shops are in the city of Gap - 10 minutes away - where there are a range of supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants.
Gap has a beautiful traditional market every Saturday morning and a smaller one on Wednesdays.

Check in at the Cosy Jarjayes Chalet is between 16H00 and 19H00 on Saturdays. You will need to call the owner on your way to agree on a meeting time. If you are arriving outside of these times, please contact us so we can arrange an alternative check in. You will be asked for a security deposit of 200€ (only payable in cash)
Check out is before 10H00 on the day of your departure and the owner will visit the property with you to check everything is in order and return your security deposit. Please note that all self catering accommodations are rented on the basis that you will leave them in a tidy state at the end of your stay. This means: emptying bins, stripping beds, emptying dishwasher and putting all crockery away and generally leaving the place in an orderly state. If the accommodation is not left in an acceptable state, the owner reserves the right to deduct a sum from your deposit.
Sheets and linens are included at the Cosy Jarjayes Chalet accommodation but towels are not so please make sure you bring your own. Smoking and pets are not allowed.
