After more than 20 years running the Combe Fleurie accommodation, Donald (from Scotland) and Agnès recently handed it over to the following generation, Laura (their daughter) and Julien, her husband. They brought a modern touch to the whole place and redesigned all the rooms but kept what makes the Combe Fleurie such a unique place: a truly warm welcome and a daily commitment to ensure you spend an unforgettable stay in their house.
La Combe Fleurie is located just outside of the medieval village of St Bonnet (a great central location for all activities); it is a great place to stay, with a large sociable dining table for dinner and breakfast, comfy areas including the all important wood burner for those cold winter nights, a games table for chess or cards etc. For our clients staying there in the summer, the rooms located on the ground floor all boast their own terrace with garden furniture to allow you to relax and sunbathe while admiring the stunning views over the surrounding mountains.
Outside, you'll find beautiful extensive grounds (they include, among other things, Donald's and Agnes's impressive vegetable garden and orchard!), a lovely sun terrace, a great lawn with a swing, etc.
There are 7 rooms at the Combe Fleurie, and most of them can comfortably accommodate a family of up to 4. They are all well equipped with large 160 cms double beds and one or two single beds, and are all decorated in a contemporary style with modern ensuite bathrooms. On the top floor of the house, there is even an independent studio apartment.
Laura and Julien also provide evening meals (three courses - with wine - deliciously cooked by Donald) and are happy to arrange anything you fancy, so just let them know.
In the summer there are a full range of activities in the vicinity and you are just 5 minutes away from the lovely Plan d'Eau du Champsaur swimming lake.
In winter there are several ski villages, Nordic skiing bases and other winter activities within 20 minutes drive and the big resort of Orcières 40 minutes away.
