Bernard guiding us on snow shoe treks for four days was great. He knowledgeably chose areas with good snow and likelihood of sunshine , though we only saw our shadows on one day. But that didn't stop us having great climbs with good views. He judged our fitness well, so at the end of each day we were very tired, but not totally knackered! His care in avoiding all avalanche danger spots was much appreciated. We also loved his knowledge of tracks of animals in the snow (wild boar leave big tracks!) , and with his help we saw chamois and even a golden eagle.
