Located at the foot of the awe inspiring Palastre mountain, this beautiful Alpine chalet offers everything you can expect from a perfect getaway in the Alps: a magnificent view over the Champsaur Valley and the surrounding Ecrins National Park mountains, a modern and cosy wooden structure, and a very welcoming jacuzzi/spa on the outside terrace.
The main building and original Chalet has four bedrooms and can sleep up to 10 people: the "Meije" bedroom has one double bed and one cot bed, the "Vieux Chaillol" has two single beds, the "Ecrins" has two sets of bunk beds and the "Autanes" has one double bed and one cot bed. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and WC.
If you need more space, it is possible to hire the newly built extension (called "Palastre Suite") which raises the total capacity to 14 people. The extension, which has one double bed and a set of bunk beds, is linked to the Chalet via a wooden balcony, allowing both proximity and intimacy and making the Montagnard Chalet a perfect accommodation for two families or a large group of friends travelling together! Please note that the extension can only be booked as an add-on to the main Chalet and can't be booked by itself.
In the Chalet, you will find a modern, spacious and fully equipped kitchen with great views over the Champsaur Valley. The cosy living room also includes an open fire which you can use at any time with the wood provided by the owners. This wonderful accommodation really offers everything you need to spend a romantic or friendly evening in the heart of the Southern French Alps!
Outside, the owners made the best out of the available space and there is a very nice lawned garden with a private playground for the children, a pétanque pitch, and a private roofed garage for your vehicle.

This is the original chalet before the extension got built. It is a large wooden chalet that can house up to 10 people in a total of 4 cosy bedrooms, all ensuite and with their own WC plus the possibility of an extra child on a small sofa bed on the mezzanine. It boasts a spacious, fully-fitted kitchen with spectacular views over the mountains of the Champsaur Valley, a large balcony facing south and a beautiful garden all around the house, with a playground for children and a pétanque pitch for adults. You'll also be able to use the spa/jaccuzi which is on the outside terrace - the perfect place for a relaxing evening after a full day of alpine activities!
This extension (called the "Palastre Suite" and named after the mountain standing behind the Chalet) is a very comfortable family suite for up to 4 people. It has its own private bathroom and WC and is linked to the main building via a beautiful wooden balcony. Please note that this extension is not bookable by itself. You can book it as an add-on to the main Chalet if you want to raise the capacity to up to 14 people.
This is a self catering chalet which is located above Pont-du-Fossé, a village that offers a range of shops, bars, restaurants and a bakery. You can drive there in 3 minutes or even walk (15 to 20 minutes to the centre of the village).

This accommodation operates a non smoking policy, and pets are not allowed. Sheets and linens are provided but towels are not so please make sure you bring your own.
Check-in is between 16H00 and 19H00 and check-out is until 10H00. Please let us know in case of a late arrival so we can arrange it with the owner.
When you check-in, you will be asked for a refundable security deposit of €1200 euros. This sum will be returned to you on your departure day on the condition that nothing has been damaged or broken in the accommodation.
The end-of-stay cleaning is included. Please note that the Chalet Montagnard is rented on the basis that you will leave the place in a tidy state at the end of your stay. This means emptying bins, stripping beds, emptying dishwasher and putting all crockery away and generally leaving the place in an orderly state.
If the chalet is not left in an acceptable state, the owner reserves the right to deduct a sum from your deposit.
An electricity supplement, based on usage, is payable at the end of your stay.
Please note that the use of the spa is subject to specific rules (shower before use, no food or drinks in the tub) and that a fee of 300€ can be applied if these rules have not been respected.
