Situated in the pretty alpine village of Ancelle, this is a beautiful campsite with exceptional mountain views.
The small, friendly, family-run site has a swimming pool, toddlers pool, children's play area with trampoline, table tennis and TV room. Wi-Fi is available for a small daily supplement.
There is a small snack bar where Laure serves home made pizzas and ice-creams. She also provides a bakery delivery service which is available for your fresh bread and croissants in the morning!
There are a range of basic wood chalets and mobile homes to choose from on the campsite with their own bathrooms and kitchenettes. There are also some glamping chalets which offer a wooden shelter with bedrooms plus a kitchenette on a sun terrace so you can feel like you are camping but with the luxury of proper cooking facilities and a bedroom. For glamping chalets, you would use the campsite sanitary facilities. Please have a look at the individual chalet and mobile home descriptions below for more details.
You are close to a range of shops and restaurants and there is a regular market every Sunday.
In summer you are central to a range of summer activities and have just a 30 minute drive to the Lac de Serre-Ponçon or 10 mins from the recreational lake if you want to do some water sports, or just swim and relax on a beach for a day.
It is also possible to stay in some of the chalets over winter where you are a stone's throw from cross country skiing, downhill skiing, snowshoeing, husky sledding and ice climbing.

The Wood Chalet can sleep up to five people and whilst still basic, is the most recent and best equipped of all the chalets available. It offers a small double room (140cm bed) and a triple room (with 80cm beds). There is a bathroom with a shower and a wash basin, a separate toilet and an open plan living area with a kitchenette equipped with electric hob, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine and crockery and utensils for five. There is a table and chairs and a sofa in the living area. Outside there is a sun terrace with garden furniture.

There is a bathroom with a shower and a wash basin, a separate toilet and an open plan living area with a kitchenette equipped with gas hob, fridge, microwave and coffee machine and crockery and utensils for six. There is a table and chairs and a sofa bed in the living area. Outside there is a sun terrace with garden furniture. The big selling point of this chalet is its position on the edge of the campsite providing unobstructed views and privacy with a small grass area in front.

The Glamping Chalet consists of two bedrooms, a double (140cm bed) and one with bunk beds (70cm beds) inside the wooden shelter. There is also a small kitchenette with a 2 ring gas hob, fridge, microwave, coffee machine and crockery and utensils.
Outside there is an integrated sun terrace which can be closed with awnings or left open with garden furniture.
There are no sanitary facilities in the glamping chalets. You need to use the campsite facilities which are 30 metres away.

For the 5th person there is a pull out bed in the living area. The chalets and mobile homes are self catering and operate on a Saturday to Saturday basis.
There is a snack bar serving pizzas, ice creams and other snacks and a bar on the campsite in the summer months.
The village of Ancelle also has a grocery store, a market every Sunday and restaurants.
Check in is between 16H00 and 20H00. If you think you will be arriving late please let us know in advance so we can help you find a solution. Check out is before 10H00 on the day of your departure.
Sheets are included but towels / tea towels etc aren't so please bring your own. Cleaning equipment and toilet rolls are not provided although sometimes previous visitors leave these in the apartment.
All self catering apartments, chalets and gîtes are rented on the basis that you will clean them at the end of your stay. However, you can opt to pay for a cleaning service if you wish. End of stay cleaning fee is 60€ and must be arranged when you check in. Even if you pay for a cleaning service, you will be expected to leave the chalets or mobile homes tidy, with all crockery and utensils washed and put away and the bins emptied.
You will be asked for a refundable security deposit when you check in of €270 euros. This is to cover any breakages and is refundable at the end of your stay after the chalet has been inspected.
A second deposit of 60€ is also required for cleaning. If you have opted to clean the chalet yourselves and it is not cleaned to the correct standard, the campsite owner reserves the right to keep this fee.
Please make sure you arrange a suitable time for your end of stay inspection especially if you are leaving early.
Animals are not allowed in chalets or mobile homes.
