The Bartavelles Hotel is quite the institution in the area around the Serre-Ponçon Lake, the most iconic lake in the Southern French Alps and a major hub for all our water activities. It was first built in the 1970's by a couple from Paris which fell in love with the region during their first holiday here.
In 1985, it was bought and renovated by the JAUME family, whose daughter Nancy is the current owner. Her parents made it a famous place, and she and her husband Christophe turned it in a few years into a luxury hotel which nowadays includes a spa, a large outside pool and - last but not least - one of the best restaurants in the area, called La Table de Paul.
There are over 40 rooms in the Bartavelles Hotel (single, double, triple and quadruple). They are all elegantly designed and offer everything one can expect from a 3 star hotel, including comfortable beds, modern bathrooms and Wi-Fi. The hotel also boasts a lovely sun terrace with views over the stunning surroundings as well as a bar where you'll be able to enjoy great cocktails.
Outside, the quietness of the wonderful 3 hectare private park makes it a great place to relax, and the swimming pool (which is heated from May to September) completes the picture. The lovely staff will ensure you spend a comfortable and memorable holiday!
Staying at the Bartavelles Hotel, you will be minutes away only from Savines, the gateway to the Serre-Ponçon Lake and the many great activities we organise there, and just a couple of miles away from Embrun, a lovely and picturesque medieval town built on a cliff. There are a range of shops, bars and restaurants in Embrun, as well as a great market on Saturday morning and a very nice pedestrian centre.

You will find a bedroom, on the mezzanine, offering a 160cm bed, and on the ground floor, in the main room, two single beds 90x200. In the rest of your accommodation, you will have at your disposal a safe, a desk, storage space, a courtesy tray and a television flat screen with Canal+. You will appreciate the bathroom with bathtub, hairdryer and welcome products. You will access a beautiful private terrace, offering a view of the park.
Menus at the La Table de Paul on-site restaurant range from 29€ to 50€.
The restaurant - which is Michelin recommended - offers delicious food, all local and seasonal and cooked by the Italian chef Nello Scognamiglio.

Check-in at the Bartavelles Hotel is from 16H00 and check out is until 10H30 on the day of your departure.
It is forbidden to smoke inside the hotel and restaurant, and pets are not allowed.
The hotel is currently working on making some of the rooms accessible to wheelchairs, but the works are not finalised yet.
