Sue and Roger Thompson - Snowshoeing Holiday

February 2011

Overview

When it takes 4 trains from the north of England to reach the Champoleon Valley, the distance you have travelled is much more apparent than when using airborne transportation. But it was more than worth it - the area is breathtakingly beautiful, the snowshoeing fantastic and the privilege of seeing the animlas themselves (or their tracks) was wonderful.

More than anything, it was this opportunity to step out into the wilderness and experience the silence, the stunning beauty and the wildlife that made our week so special.

Many thanks to Sally for her seamless organisation.

I have replaced the leaking boots - no more wet feet for me! And can we come back next year, please?
