This is a traditional french alpine hotel with food to die for! It is situated in St Maurice in Valgaudemar in the heart of the Ecrins Massif with spectacular views all around.
The hotel is owned by Claud and Colette whose attention to detail, amazing cuisine and friendly welcome make this an unforgetable place to stay.
It is well decorated in a classic french mountain style - the style before the chalet craze swept the alps! The rooms are all unique and there are a range of single, twin, double and family rooms, all ensuite with either spa baths or jet power showers.
There is a heated swimming pool, a volley ball court and table tennis in the garden.
To help relax your achy legs after a day in the mountains there is a steam room and a massage area where you can pamper your body with a full on massage.
There's a bar, the restaurant and a lounge area with TV inside as well as a cinema projection room where films can be organised for evenings. You'll also be treated to a free art exhibition as on display throughout the hotel is the artwork of Claud's sister, a well established local artist.
Colette's cooking is probably some of the best cuisine in the valley and it's all made using local fresh products. The hotel has been recommended in the 'Guide du Routard' every year since since 1996.
For groups, the hotel also has a conference room which can be used for anything from weddings to sport club meetings or business AGMs.
The hotel is only open in the summer and is a great location for walking with white water, via ferrata, high ropes and other activities in the vicinity.

This is a spacious (40m2) newly refurbished studio suite situated on the ground floor in an annex to the hotel and consists of a large 160cms bed and one additional single bed, a small kitchenette equipped with kettle, coffee machine, microwave, fridge and electric hob. There are table and chairs and lounge area for relaxing in. The suite has an ensuite bathroom with power jet shower. This suite is wheelchair friendly.

Check in is between 16hrs and 19hrs and check out is before 10am. Please let us know if you will be arriving outside of these hours so we can arrange an early or late entry for you.
The swimming pool is not lifeguarded. All children must be supervised by an adult when using the pool.
