Overview
Fantastic hiking eating and drinking holiday in the Ecrins, an area where very few hiking providers operate. Choice and variety of walks (we, fairly experienced couple late 60s and early seventies) was great - we did mostly moderate and a difficult. La Grange des Ecrins (JB, Jean and Meg = heroes) and Val des Sources couldn't have been better in terms of hosts (more heroes: Claude et Colette), welcome and food, especially as we don't eat red meat; we were spoilt! Would have loved the option of an extra few days, and still have the return to Gap station. Only slight reservations were the first room, and the lack of a walk booklet with descriptions, rather than gpx and app - the app doesn't work where no signal on high!
