This is a lovely large independent alpine style chalet built in wood situated in private grounds in the pretty alpine village of Ancelle, which is a ski village in winter.
It has been decorated in a cosy alpine style with taste and attention giving the chalet a warm and welcoming feel.
The entrance to the chalet is via a large sun balcony. On the ground floor there is an open plan living area with dining table and chairs for 9 and a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, oven etc) and a lounge area with TV and DVD. There is also one double bedroom and shower room with toilet and washing machine on the ground floor.
On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms (1 double, a twin and a triple room with 3 single beds). Two of these open out on to a balcony. There is also a shower room and second toilet.
The heating is under floor heating - lovely and warm on the feet on those cold winter mornings!
Outside is a garden with bbq and garden furniture with parasol.
In winter the chalet is just 400metres from the downhill ski pistes, cross country ski pistes and snowshoe walks with other winter activities like husky sledding and ice climbing not far away.
In summer there are a whole range of activities in proximity, including canyoning, climbing, via ferrata, walking and mountain biking. Our favourite recreational swimming lake, the lovely Plan d'Eau du Champsaur, is just a 10 minute drive away, and the spectacular Serre-Ponçon lake, is less than half hour away.

The Valrouanne Chalet is a self catering accommodation.
It is located within walking distance from the village centre of Ancelle, a picturesque alpine village where you will find a grocery store, a bakery and butcher shop, and a variety of restaurants and bars.
The nearest supermarket is a 10 minute drive away in either Saint-Bonnet en Champsaur, or Gap.

Check in at the Valrouanne Chalet is between 16H00 and 19H00 on Saturdays. You will need to contact the owner on the day you travel to agree on a meeting time. If you are arriving outside of these times, please contact us so we can arrange an alternative check in. You will be asked for a security deposit of 200€ (only payable in cash)
Check out is before 10H30 on the day of your departure and the owner will visit the property with you to check everything is in order and return your security deposit. Please note that all self catering accommodations are rented on the basis that you will leave them in a tidy state at the end of your stay. This means: emptying bins, stripping beds, emptying dishwasher and putting all crockery away and generally leaving the place in an orderly state. If the accommodation is not left in an acceptable state, the owner reserves the right to deduct a sum from your deposit.
Bedding is included at the Valrouanne Chalet accommodation but towels and tea towels are not so please make sure you bring your own.
Please note that smoking and pets are not allowed at the Valrouanne Chalet.
