We booked a five day holiday to the southern Alps which was brilliantly organised by Undiscovered Mountains, making the whole trip really enjoyable. I travelled with my two teenage kids (15 & 17) and all three of us enjoyed mountain biking (next time we will try the e-bikes), Via Ferrata (absolutely brilliant), Hydrospeed (a very fun experience floating 11km down the river Durance although the water levels in the river were dropping a little) and finally canyoning which was excellent made even more exciting with the thunderstorm that hit us during the descent. We stayed in a really nice hotel (Les Olivades) just outside of Gap which was a perfect location for all of the activities, plus it had a lovely pool.
We attended the Wednesday BBQ by the lake which was a good opportunity to meet the other families, exchange stories about our trips and for the kids to toast marshmallows. The Undiscovered Mountains team were very helpful throughout and thanks once again to JB for rearranging our activities. Also thanks to Bernard for guiding and entertaining us on the Via Ferrata and Canyoning. We will definitely consider booking another trip in the future.
Thanks once again to Sally, Bernard, JB and JB's wife (we made a trip to Lyon on your recommendation on the way home which was wonderful).
