It is up to you whether you want to choose a long distance walking itinerary in the mountains go for a fully tailor made walking holiday from one or two bases. You can decide if you want to be self guided or guided or do a bit of both.
For moderate walkers and families, a great option is to combine some day walks and half days walking as part of a summer activity holiday. There are options for nature walks and wildlife spotting walks too on these holidays.

Are your walking holidays guided or self guided?
We have a range of both guided and self guided holidays. All of our self guided holidays can also be guided for an additional supplement, but not all guided holidays are possible as self guided trips as the routes are not publicly available.
Do your walking holidays have fixed departure dates or can we go at any time?
All of our self guided holidays are bookable on any dates for your group subject to availability. Most of our guided walking holidays have fixed departure dates that you book onto to join a group but these are all customisable for private groups on dates of your choice, subject to availability.
Can I combine walking with other activities on your holidays?
Yes, you can choose a pure walking holiday or you can mix and match it with other activities on our customisable multi activity holidays which we run in spring and summer and autumn. We provide self-guided walking advice for all our multi activity holidays and it is also possible to join guided groups for day and half day walks with a theme like wildlife tracking.
What about walking in the winter?
If you want to walk in the snow, then you will love our snowshoeing holidays.
