The Luxury Farmhouse Guesthouse is a wonderful stone farmhouse which was first built in the 14th century. It is situated at the end of a half a mile long mountain lane in five acres of private land.
The whole building has been renovated to a high standard with a touch of modern style and luxury, whilst retaining its traditional heritage and character. There is a large dining room, two different lounge areas (one with a bar and one with a wood stove) and a beautiful sun terrace overlooking the swimming pool with a panoramic view over the Champsaur valley.
There are 9 ensuite bedrooms including one suite. All of them are nicely decorated and furnished to a high standard, and they're all equipped with modern comforts (TV, Wi-Fi).
Jean & Meg are the proud owners of the luxury farmhouse guesthouse and are professional hosts and passionate foodies. They will offer you a very warm welcome to their farmhouse and we highly recommend that you take up their offer of evening meals! They will tease your taste buds with delicately prepared local specialities and a twist of something special! Plus, if you're staying for more than 5 nights, you will be offered champagne and a welcome apéritif upon arrival.
After an active day in the mountains, this really is a wonderful place to stay. Enjoy a drink on the terrace, relax in the jacuzzi or cool off in the pool before sitting down to enjoy a sociable evening with delicious food. On Saturdays, you may even have a private concert for dessert!
The property is ideally located outside of the hamlet of Chabottes, at an altitude of 1150 meters and right in the heart of the beautiful Champsaur valley on the southern border of the Ecrins National Park. It is perfect for a summer activity holiday in the warm months with hiking, biking, climbing, canyoning, Via Ferrata, paragliding, rafting, horse riding and more activities within a few miles. In winter, you are surrounded by 5 skis villages as well as a full range of other winter activities like ice climbing, cross country skiing, husky sledding... and much more!
The Luxury Farmhouse will be equipped with a charger for electric vehicles for the summer of 2020.

This room is called Antoine de St Exupéry after the famous aviator. It is the largest room in the Luxury Farmhouse Guest House and is, in fact, rather like a small private apartment. There is one bedroom of character with a large 160cm bed, and a separate sitting room with a very comfortable 140cm sofa-bed as additional bed for two. There is a toilet and a bathroom with a large walk-in shower.

This room is called Hélène Boucher and it features a large 160cm double bed as well as a 90 cm single bed. It offers a writing table in one of the corners as well as a chest of drawers. A separate toilet and a bathroom with a walk-in shower complete the picture.

This charming room is called the Louis Blériot room. It is located on the ground floor of the farmhouse and boasts a private entrance and a lovely little terrace in front of the room. It comes with a large 160cm bed, a small writing table and secretary in one of the corners, and a spacious bathroom with a shower and toilet. This room is also wheelchair accessible.

The Cedera Room is one of the four new rooms at the Grange des Ecrins. It is modern, spacious, cosy and well decorated. It has an ensuite bathroom with an Italian shower. It has one 160cm double bed as well as a 160cm sofa bed that can sleep 2 young children.

A modern and spacious ensuite bedroom with beautiful views over the surrounding mountains (including the highest summit in the Champsaur Valley, the iconic Vieux Chaillol!). This room is also the most quiet room in the farmhouse. It offers a large 160cm double bed.

The Palastre room is rather like a mini suite. It has a 160cm double bed and a 140cm sofa bed which can accommodate one or two young children. It has a large bathroom equipped with a washing machine, and toilets in yet another separate section of the bedroom.

The Autanes room is the largest room in the Luxury Farmhouse Guest House and can sleep a family of 5 with young children or 4 with older children. It is built in the newer section of the building which was fully renovated in 2016. The Autanes room offers a nice flexibility, with one 140cm double bed, two 90cm single beds and the possibility of adding a third small single bed. It faces east, boasts a large and modern bathroom with an Italian shower and it offers great views over the surrounding mountains of the Champsaur Valley.

Check-in at the Luxury Farmhouse is from 16H00 and check-out is until 11H00.
The staff cleans all rooms every day. Please be respectful and make sure you leave your room in order and tidy before you leave every morning.
Dinner is usually served around 19H30 in the winter and 20H00 in the summer. Please let us know if you'd like to have dinner on the evening of your arrival so we can inform the owners.
In case you are driving and anticipating a late check-in on your arrival day, please let us know so we can book you in for a late dinner (if possible).
The Blériot room offers access for handicapped people and wheelchairs.
You are staying at the Luxury Farmhouse guesthouse on a bed&breakfast basis, meaning that you'll have to pay yourselves for any extra (dinners, drinks, picnics, etc.) on the day of your departure.
