With its beautiful vaulted dining room and its peaceful courtyard overlooking the picturesque Champsaur valley, the Vieux Chaillol Auberge offers nine comfortable rooms which have all been renovated and refurbished in 2019. All of them are ensuite bedrooms. There are two suites for up to 5 people which are great for families. The set up of the rooms and beds is flexible enough to provide a satisfying solution to all kinds of families or groups.
The new owners, Coralie and Clément, are a very welcoming young couple who used to manage a gîte in the Northern Alps and decided to move to the Southern Alps for the better and sunnier weather! They brought a nice, modern touch to the old building they are now managing, and Clément is a very talented cook - we highly recommend you try the homemade cuisine! The continental breakfast which is served every morning comprises fresh bread, local juices and jams, and delicious honey.
The Vieux Chaillol Auberge is centrally located to lots of summer and winter activities in the Champsaur Valley. It is situated at the foot of the awe-inspiring Chaillol and Queyrel mountains and is the perfect departure point of dozens of beautiful walks, hikes and biking tours in and right by the spectacular Ecrins National Park, the largest mountain park in the country. In the winter, the pistes of Chaillol 1600, a lovely ski village with pistes for skiers of all levels, are less than 3 minutes away! All in all, the Vieux Chaillol Auberge is the perfect location for an unforgettable holiday in the Southern French Alps - whatever the season!

The delicious homemade food is one more reason for you to appreciate your holiday at the Vieux Chaillol Auberge! The owners Clément and Coralie cook local products exclusively and make it a point of honor to serve delicious fresh food for every meal. Vegetable and meat from the local producers and cheese and honey from the local farms are on the table every day in the Auberge! Good thing there are so many walks you can start from the Auberge to keep your weight down during your holiday there!

Pets are welcome at the Vieux Chaillol Auberge, but not in the rooms.
Check-in is from 16H00 and check-out is until 10H00. Please be respectful and make sure you leave your room in order and tidy before you leave.
Dinner is usually served around 19H00. Please let us know if you'd like to have dinner on the evening of your arrival so we can inform the owners.
In case you are driving and anticipating a late check-in on your arrival day, please let us know so we can book you in for a late dinner (if possible).
