This is a tailor made holiday for your group for a week of cross country skiing with your ski equipment, pass and some lessons to help get you started or, if you are already a seasoned cross country skier, to improve your technique so you can really make the most of your cross country skiing. You also have activity points that you can exchange for a variety of other winter activities if you want a day or half day off from skiing or you can choose more cross country ski lessons .

You can choose either classic cross country skiing, where you slide one ski in front of the other along predefined tracks in the snow or skating, which is more technical and a faster form of cross country skiing or a bit of both. Cross Country Skiing in the Champsaur and Valgaudemar valleys

These two valleys in the Southern French Alps have 5 cross country ski domains with a multitude of different pistes to explore. Each domain has it's own special character from the dramatic steep valley of Valgaudemar, the pistes winding around the icy river of the Haute Champsaur and the wooded plateau of Col Bayard with its spectacular views over the valley.

Who will Love this Holiday?

You don't need to have had any cross country skiing experience to enjoy this holiday as it is tailor made for you but a good level of fitness is recommended to really enjoy cross country skiing as it is quite a physical sport. This holiday is aimed at small groups (4 - 8 people) booking together.

Self driving for this holiday will give you the flexibility to discover the different cross country ski areas in the vicinity and also to explore the surrounding valleys and mountains and get about to other activities that you can choose with this holiday.

To keep transport costs down, it is possible to choose your accommodation near to the largest cross country ski domain which also has access to a wide range of other activities accessible by free public transport or on foot.
