The Ski Resort of Serre Chevalier

The trip is based in the ski resort of Serre Chevalier, the biggest ski area in the Southern French Alps and one of the biggest in Europe. It has a great range of slopes for all abilities with particularly good options for beginner and intermediate skiers. Ski through larch forests, typical of the region, and admire the high summits as you soak in the high mountain atmosphere. Have a look at the interactive ski map.

  • 410 hectares of pistes
  • 59 lifts including including the iconic "Serre Chevalier" cable car
  • 82 runs (13 black, 30 red, 26 blue and 13 green)
  • 80 % of the slopes located at more than 2,000 metres for an optimal snow cover

The resorts connects 3 villages as well as the historic town of Briançon, a town of more than 10,000 inhabitants, famous for its Vauban fortifications. A town of that size with a direct access to the ski runs is simply unique in France!  Your accommodation base is on the edge of the town of Briançon, located next to the swimming pool and ice skating rink (ideal for an evening activity option). At 1326m of altitude, Briançon is the highest town in France.

Holiday Highlights:

  • High altitude skiing with excellent snow record (80% of pistes over 2000m)
  • Ski in a large, prestigious ski resort with variety of well managed pistes for all levels (82 pistes with 59 ski lifts)
  • On piste restaurant lunch option
  • Fully qualified and professional ski instructors from the ESI international ski school
  • Small ski group sizes with 8 - 10 students per instructor
  • Quality accommodation perfectly adapted for ski groups and clubs (generations of ski instructors and mountain professionals have used this base for their training camps)
  • Logistical support from representative with extensive local knowledge and contacts with option for onsite live-in rep during your stay.
