This traditional farmhouse was renovated a few years ago by Henri, the owner (who is a talented cabinetmaker). He built two separated apartments in the large building and built both of them beautifully with an intricate attention to detail. One of them (the West Wing) can house up to 5 people, the other one (the East Wing) can comfortably sleep up to 6 people.

The property is located in the heart of a very quiet hamlet called La Villette, three minutes away from the Chaillol 1600 ski village. Henri and his wife Marie live next door and they're extremely hospitable hosts, always happy to help or give you the info you need.

In each of the two apartments, you will find a modern and fully-equipped kitchen (with microwave oven, washing machine and dishwasher), a dining area with a large wooden table and a cosy living room area with a flat screen TV. The bedrooms are upstairs, with an extra mezzanine area in the bigger of the two apartments.

The Bathilde's Farm offers several great and unique features such as a stone pizza & bread oven in the courtyard (the owners organize a friendly pizza baking reunion for the residents every Monday evening in the summer), a private playground with all kinds of games for the children, and -last but not least- a private on-site swing golf (with no supplement for the residents of the farm)!

Bottom line is, it is the perfect place for a successful holiday for everyone in the family.

Staying at the Bathilde's Farm, you are a 15 minute drive away from the beautiful medieval village of Saint-Bonnet which offers a range of shops and restaurants and 10 minutes away from the charming "Plan d'Eau du Champsaur" swimming lake. You'll be centrally located for a range of summer activities.

In winter, you are a short drive from the ski village of Chaillol and a range of winter activities, and you are 30 minutes away from the main ski resort of Orcières.

The East Wing sleeps up until 6 people. The main floor consists of a spacious living room and a fully fitted kitchen with a dining area. There is a room with a double bed as well. On the first floor, you will find a second double room which opens onto a mezzanine with two single beds and an additional sofa-bed. There are two bathrooms with shower and toilet in this apartment, one on the main floor and one upstairs.

The Bathilde's Farm West Wing is a cosy and modern apartment offering a fully fitted kitchen with a large wooden table and a lounge area with a flat screen TV. There is one double bedroom upstairs which opens to a mezzanine with two single beds and a sofa bed as extra sleeping possibility. There are two bathrooms with shower and toilet in this apartment, one on the main floor and one upstairs. There is a private access by the balcony which faces south.

Both villages of Chabottes and Saint-Bonnet are located less than 15 minutes away and offer a range of bakeries, shops, restaurants and supermarkets.

Policies

You will be asked for a refundable security deposit of 300€ when you check in at the Bathilde's Farm (payable in cash only).

Check in is between 16H00 and 18H00 and you will need to call Marie (the owner) when you are near the property so she can meet you. If you are arriving outside of these times, please contact us so we can arrange an alternative check in.

Check out is before 09H30 on the day of departure and the owner will visit the property with you to check everything is in order and return your security deposit. If you plan on leaving earlier, please arrange a suitable time with the owner at check in for this visit.

All self catering accommodations are rented on the basis that you will leave them in a tidy state at the end of your stay. This means: emptying bins, stripping beds, emptying dishwasher and putting all crockery away and generally leaving the place in an orderly state. Please note that if the accommodation is not left in an acceptable state, the owner reserves the right to deduct a sum from your deposit. The Bathilde's Farm accommodation operates a no smoking policy, and animals are not permitted.
