Overview
We had a fantastic family holiday in Gap, France, thanks to Undiscovered Mountains. Everything was brilliantly organised — they took all the stress out of planning by arranging our activities and narrowing down accommodation options so choosing was easy. A real highlight was the two‑day hike to Refuge du Pigeonnier. Hiking up, staying the night, and then walking back down the next morning was unforgettable. Waking up in the Alps, surrounded by silence and huge mountain walls glowing in the early light, was something our whole family will remember for years. Sally and Alexia met us on the first day for a friendly orientation, and their app was incredibly helpful, with a full itinerary, equipment lists, and clear directions for every activity. The guides were excellent throughout. Bernard (rock climbing and canyoning) from Undiscovered Mountains and Steph (white‑water rafting) from EVP were both outstanding — professional, encouraging, and great with the kids.A special thanks to Alexia for helping us choose hiking routes and recommending lovely places to stop on our way back to Nice.Travelling with two kids (12 and 14), this was one of our best holidays — active, memorable, and perfectly organised. Highly recommended.
