If you are inspired by the beautiful Scandinavian winter landscapes but would like a bit more sunshine and daylight hours for your Nordic ski trip then the Champsaur Valley is your perfect destination! Offering a unique mix of high mountain feel, great snow record, chocolate box villages and a perfect climate (the official average is 300+ days of sunshine every year), the Champsaur Valley is one of the pearls of the Southern French Alps.

Nordic skiing is a great way to discover the hidden treasures of the Champsaur Valley while enjoying stunning views over the surrounding snow capped mountains, including the impressive Vieux Chaillol peak at almost 3200 meters of altitude.

A fast developing activity in the alpine valleys and mountains, Nordic skiing is the ideal mix between cross-country skiing and ski touring / mountaineering. It allows lucky skiers to ski off piste in the foothills of the Alps and enjoy the freedom of skiing in the wild without requiring the technical off piste skills needed for full on ski touring or mountaineering.

A fully qualified and experienced local guide will accompany you during the 3 days to ensure your safety and give you a few skiing tips along the way!

This 3 day / 4 night Nordic ski tour will take you through some of the most stunning undiscovered parts of the well preserved Champsaur Valley. At the end of each day you will enjoy warm and cosy accommodations where the welcoming owners will cook delicious food for you and your group. No doubt you will want this short break to last longer.

We will transport your baggage between each accommodation so you only have to ski with your day pack!
