Water Sports Holiday in the Alps

Kayak down the lower Durance river in sit on top kayaks through the wild, unspoilt mountains of the Alps, raft down the raging white water rapids, stand up paddle on the deep turquoise waters of the magnificent Serre Poncon lake, test your skills learning to waterski and have some serious fun on the natural toboggans, abseils and jumps canyoning.

Blessed with its 300 days of sunshine per year, the Southern French Alps is the perfect destination for having fun in the water.

You don't need to have had any experience of any of the activities included in this holiday to participate. You just need to be able to swim and love water!

This water sports holiday is suitable for small groups or families booking together, it is not a fixed date trip where you join up with other individuals. As such, we can tweak it and tailor it to suit you if you would like to alter something in the itinerary, stay a bit longer or add some other activities.

You are based the beautiful town of Gap for this trip which has a wide range of restaurants, bars and pretty Provencal style squares to sit out and dine from so you can enjoy your evenings in the sun too!  The price will depend on your hotel and rooming choice, the dates and how many people you are in your party. You will need to get to Gap which is in the Southern French Alps in the French Hautes Alpes department. Gap has an SNCF train station, which has rail links from Paris via an overnight sleeper and links to the main TGV stations: Grenoble, Aix-en-Provence, Marseille and Lyon.

The nearest airports are Marseille (2 - 21/2 hrs), which has a regular bus shuttle directly from the airport to Gap every 2 hours and Grenoble (2-21/2 hrs) which has an airport train station shuttle and then you can get the train to Gap.

We will look after your transport to and from the activities each day.

We can also arrange transfers from Marseille or Grenoble as optional extras which are available to book as extras when you check out.
