This holiday is available from the beginning of September to the end of November. The weather can be quite varied in Autumn with September still quite summery and warm in the day and the possibility of first snowfalls in November. As such, we can help you choose activities that are suitable for the expected weather.

As this is a tailor made holiday for you rather than a large group holiday, we highly recommend you self drive rather than let us drive you to and from the activities for this holiday. The area has so much to offer and for you to explore in your free time and public transport is limited. Check out our partner's hire car rates.

The nearest major city is Gap which is just south of Grenoble and north of Marseilles. Gap has a train station which links to the major TGVs such as Aix-en-Provence and Lyon and also has a night train directly from Paris. The nearest airports are Marseilles, Grenoble or Lyon but Nice, Turin and Geneva are also drivable distance.
